Holiday shoppers generated more than a two-fold increase in mobile transacted volume this Thanksgiving over last year. eBay continues to drive strong mobile momentum as shoppers go to their smart phones and tablets when inspiration strikes. A recent survey showed that the majority of people believe holiday sales should start right after Thanksgiving dinner, 5:23 p.m., EST, to be precise. And 35 percent worried about missing out on great deals on Thanksgiving Day.[1]eBay has seen particularly strong demand this Thanksgiving for electronics, home and garden and health and beauty products.
The company’s mobile leadership garnered coverage in Mobile Commerce Daily and All Things D along with a feature interview on FOX Business News, Liz Claman’s “Countdown to the Closing Bell” with eBay Mobile VP Steve Yankovich, which highlighted eBay’s exclusive mobile deals and top mobile trends.
